Potomac Beach Sunset 12-05-09 – Lately I am preferring to see the world filtered into a watercolor

Well, both of my sites seem to be magically working again – no explanation from Ready Hosting. I’m dumping them anyway, but no rush now, as I don’t need the stress of transitioning two sites. I’ll likely pay someone like EZSiteMove to do it in January.

WordPress is an open source software, so when something goes wrong, all you have is various support forums. As helpful as many folks are on these forums, sometime there is no simple solution – unless you pay a talented geek to fix the problem.

I’m still anxious for a major design makeover here and at Composites-By-Design, but I’m afraid even to upgrade WordPress or Thesis Themes after this incident. Likely the courage will return soon.

While I was despairing over my crippled website, I got a Tweet from a great person to follow on Twitter: @kikolani. It was a link to the following post by Dragos Florin Roua: 100 Ways To Screw Up Your Life. Wow – there’s a million self-help blogging gurus out there, but this list opened my eyes – no more wallowing in self-pity for me.

Also check out his initial post:  100 Ways To Live A Better Life. The synergism between the two lists is enpowering.

Thanks Kristi Hines (@kikolana) and Dragos –  like this dramatic backyard sunset, you both made my day!

Well,

I’m really glad you enjoyed it :-) And I also enjoyed your watercolor photo, awesome!

It’s you I need to thank. What a shot in the arm! When it comes to self-help lists, I’m a bit of cynic. Your 100 lists should be required reading (and discussion), well, everywhere!
