in A Day in the Life

Even these poor dumb cattle were confused!

Even these poor dumb cattle were confused!

I arrived back home in Piney Point last night at about 6 pm after two days of driving in the rain and dense fog in the “mountains” of the Maryland. At least it wasn’t snow, and it did slow me down to a “safe” cruising speed.

When I finally got home, the house was colder inside than out. I turned the heat back on and filled my Jacuzzi tub with steaming hot water and soaked for a half hour, downing two glasses of a good chardonnay. Then I grilled some fresh sea bass and veggies and actually watched some football. I was in bed by 8 pm and slept soundly.

I awoke to an intense downpour, but when I finally left the house it was sunny and warm (62 F). I was about as confused as these cattle from this welcome, but unexpected heat wave. Life now begins again. There is so much to do, but if it doesn’t get done, there is always tomorrow.
